The coca plant come from the "Andes"
The coca plant is cultivated in south America, Indonesia eastern Africa.
In precolombian societies, Coca was used as medicinal plant, as a stimulant drug, a ritual objet or was even taxable.
In "Andins" countries, coca leaves were chewed several hours. The diggestive system was then "anesthesiated": numbness to hunger. For some it was a way to protect from the cold of high altitudes.
Early 14 century, spanish wariors gave this stimulant to exploited indignes in mines.
